BOULDER, CO – A 90-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle near North Boulder park on Wednesday had succumbed to fatal injuries.

This collision happened before 9:30 a.m. at the Broadway and Alpine Avenue intersection. Boulder Police said the driver of a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica — a 35-year-old woman — had turned left onto eastbound Alpine Avenue and hit the 90-year-old woman.

First responders rushed the 90-year-old woman to a hospital, where she later died. The Boulder County Coroner’s Office is withholding her name pending notification of next of kin.

The 35-year-old woman stayed at the scene with her two passengers — her children. None of them were harmed.

Officials confirmed that the driver was not speeding and was not intoxicated. It is unclear if she will be charged.

Updates will be provided as more details become available.
