DENVER, CO – Police confirmed it was a man named Nick Cordova who succumbed to fatal wounds after getting hit by the driver of a white SUV who then fled the scene Saturday, KDVR said.
Officials initially said Cordova was operating a motorcycle in the area of Speer Boulevard and Grove Street when he was struck by the suspect around midnight. However, they have since learned that Cordova was, in fact, riding a scooter.
An investigation was started. Police are still searching for the suspect, whose vehicle is said to have front-end damage.
