LAKEWOOD, CO – A woman crossing the West Colfax Avenue and Teller Street junction lost her life after she was struck by the driver of a white truck Thursday.
Lakewood Police first reported this incident at 2:12 p.m. They said the collision happened when the truck motorist (the truck model unspecified) had operated their vehicle carelessly, leading them to hit the woman.

Upon arrival, officials rushed the unidentified woman to a hospital, where she later died.
While it is unclear how the driver drove negligently, they were issued a citation for “careless driving resulting in death.”
An investigation has been initiated. No other details were provided.
