THORNTON, CO – A Thornton Police officer was transported to a local hospital after they collided with another vehicle near Hunters Glen Lake Tuesday.
This collision happened before 9:30 p.m. in the area of East 128th Avenue and Washington Street, Thornton Police said.

For the time being, police shut down the northbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance process and the investigation procedure.
While the officer was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries, the occupants from the other vehicle, which consisted of the driver and two passengers, were unharmed.
Colorado State Patrol has taken on the investigation but has yet to mention the exact cause of this collision or mention whether anyone would be cited or charged for their involvement in this crash.
