THORNTON, CO – Thornton police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect responsible for causing a crash that injured a pedestrian on New Year’s Day.

Officers said the crash took place before 12:30 a.m. in the vicinity of West 96th Avenue and Pecos Street, along Pecos Park. Police believe the driver was operating a Nissan Xterra from the early 2000s when they hit the walker. The pedestrian sustained minor wounds in the process, while the car was left with some front-end damage.
