DENVER, CO – A person operating a stand-up scooter sustained serious injuries when they were hit by an RTD A-line train in the Clayton area Sunday, Denver Police reports.

Officers announced this crash after 1:30 a.m., stating it took place at East 42nd Avenue and Clayton Street and additional details from The Denver Post show that ambulance personnel had to rush the scooter rider to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police are working to pinpoint the details behind this wreck and have not shared additional information at this time.
