ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries due to a collision involving a motorcycle late Sunday morning in southwest Aurora, reports FOX 31.
The incident unfolded on the eastbound lanes of East Alameda Avenue between Havana Street and Ironton Street, southeast of CommonGround Golf Course. Aurora Police responded to the scene shortly after 11:20 a.m.
Officials have not shared a sequence of events, but the pedestrian was critically injured, and the motorcyclist suffered injuries considered minor.
A section of East Alameda Avenue was blocked off as investigators worked to determine the cause of the wreck. By 12:25 p.m., more than an hour later, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
