AURORA, CO – Three people sustained injuries when a Ford Escape, a Nissan Maxima, and a Hyundai Santa Fe all collided in the City Center district Monday.
Aurora Police said this three-vehicle collision happened around 3:30 p.m. at the South Chambers Road and Center Avenue intersection.

First responders confirmed that driver and passenger from the Ford Escape were hospitalized for serious, life-threatening wounds, and the Nissan Maxima driver, the sole occupant of their vehicle, sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai was unharmed.
Police closed all the northbound and southbound directions of Chambers for a few hours and reopened all lanes just before reopening all lanes before 7 p.m.
