AURORA, CO – A motorcyclist was hospitalized for life-threatening wounds after colliding with a vehicle in the Pheasant Run area Wednesday.
Aurora Police said this crash happened at the South Chambers Road and East Smoky Hill Road intersection and announced this collision just before 8:30 p.m.
#APDTrafficAlert Lanes of Chambers and Smoky Hill Rd. are closed after a life-threatening motorcycle vs. vehicle crash.
The initial investigation shows a motorcycle driven by an adult male, and a single vehicle with one occupant collided in the roadway.
Officers said one of the occupants, either the male motorcyclist or the driver, was supposedly speeding, which caused the crash.
The driver remained at the scene and did not have to go to the hospital.
Officers shut down the southbound lanes and left Smoky Hill open during the scene clearance and investigation.
