WESTMINSTER, CO – A 71-year-old man operating a pickup truck suffered a medical episode, which led him to drift off the road and crash into a home’s fence Monday.
This collision occurred along 92nd Place and North Grove Street, in the East Central Westminster district, before 7:30 p.m., Westminster Police announced in a press release.
Upon arrival, Westminster paramedics performed CPR on the man before rushing him off to a hospital. Despite best efforts from first responders, the man later succumbed to fatal wounds at the emergency room.
The Adam’s County Coroner’s Office, which is in charge of identifying the man, has not yet released his name.
While the investigation is in the preliminary stages, officers have been able to confirm that speed and intoxication were not contributing factors in Monday’s wreck.
