DENVER, CO – A hit-and-run driver rear-ended another vehicle, resulting in the second motorist’s death and sending their passenger to a hospital Thursday.
This Independence Day wreck happened before 3:45 p.m. at the Alameda Ave and S Dayton Street junction, which is along the CommonGround Golf Course, according to police.

Officers said the passenger was being treated for serious wounds. In pursuing their investigation, they learned that the hit-and-run suspect had fled the scene on foot following the wreck. The hit-and-run driver has yet to be found, and the police department has not released a statement about this crash.
