AURORA, CO – A 28-year-old man operating a 2000 Honda Accord lost his life after he was struck by a driver who ran a red light and then fled the scene Sunday.
Aurora Police told 9 News the collision took place around 7:15 a.m. at the East Iliff Avenue and South Havana Street junction, which is in the East Ridge Ptarmigan Park area.
Police said the suspect drove a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. At this time, they have not provided a description of the suspect or have caught them. In addition, they have not disclosed the name of the 28-year-old man.
