ARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO – A power outage was reported following a hit-and-run crash early last Saturday on Havana Street in west Aurora, reports The Denver Post.
The collision unfolded between Del Mar Parkway and East 10th Street, in an area west of Havana Park. Aurora Police Department officers responded to the scene shortly after 4:00 a.m.
While the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation, officials said a car crash caused a section of power lines along the road to fall.
After the collision, the striking vehicle fled the scene,
Xcel Energy said said about 559 area residences were without power as of 4:40 p.m.
As of this writing, Aurora police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle, and no injuries were reported in connection to the crash.
