News: Fire crews rescue submerged car from creek in Aurora

AURORA, CO – Aurora Fire Rescue crews had to rescue a submerged vehicle from the West Toll Gate Creek Friday afternoon.

Firefighters and Aurora Police arrived at the scene around 1:30 p.m. According to some eyewitnesses, some people had pushed the submerged car, a black four-door Volkswagen SUV (reported stolen), into the creek. After doing so, they immediately ran back into another car and fled the scene.

Officials said no victims were found, and there have been no reports of injuries.

South Metro Fire Rescue assisted in this task. As of yet, no suspects have been found.
