DENVER, CO – The Denver Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-25 north of Alameda Ave on Tuesday morning.

One of the vehicles landed in the South Platte River, but the driver freed themselves from the wreckage and was taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries remain unclear at this time.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Two lanes of southbound I-25 remain closed, and drivers have been advised to seek alternate routes.
