WHEAT RIDGE, CO – One driver ran a red light, leading to a collision that led at least one person to suffer minor wounds in the Rainbow Ridge area Tuesday.
Wheat Ridge Police said this crash happened before 8 a.m. at the West 50th Avenue and Kipling Street intersection. Officers temporarily closed several lanes on southbound Kipling Street and lifted all lane closures by 8:23 a.m.
TRAFFIC ALERT: WRPD is responding to a crash at W 50th Ave. and Kipling St. There are multiple lane closures on SB Kipling, and access to WB 50th is closed here.
Officers said they cited the driver, who proceeded through the red light. They started an investigation but have not confirmed the number of people who were injured, nor have they listed the type and number of vehicles involved.
