DENVER, CO – A pedestrian was seriously injured when they got struck by a driver in the Montbello area Friday.
Denver Police arrived at the crash scene, the vicinity of East 40th Avenue and Chambers Road before 8 a.m. Upon arrival, an ambulance rushed the walker to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver stayed at the scene. Officers did not confirm whether the motorist would face criminal charges or could expect citations.
At the time of the reporting, police told commuters in the area to anticipate delays as crews worked to clear the debris from the crash and as authorities pursued their investigation.
