WEST DENVER, CO – A pedestrian was sent to a hospital after getting hit by a driver of a vehicle in the West Barnum area Thursday night.
Denver Police said this collision happened before 8:45 p.m. at South Federal Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue. After EMS crews arrived, they took the walker to a medical facility, where they are currently recovering from serious wounds.

Authorities did not confirm any lane closures. However, they did advise the public to take different routes or avoid the area altogether so crews could tend to the scene clearance process.
As it stands, officials have released no additional information regarding the exact cause of this wreck nor stated if the driver would face citations or criminal charges.
