NORTH DENVER, CO – A driver of a tractor-trailer unintentionally struck a pedestrian Wednesday morning, leading the person to die from their injuries.
Denver Police said this collision happened before 11 a.m. in the 2900 block of Arkins Court along South Platte River. The big rig driver was going south or west when the truck’s big tires hit the pedestrian, knocking the victim to the ground.

The driver took off but then returned to the crash site, informing officers that they did not know the pedestrian had fallen. As such, police did not cite the motorist.
At this time, authorities have not released the pedestrian’s identity.
