DENVER, CO – Authorities responded to a major injury collision Monday morning, July 22, on the 6th Avenue Freeway in southwest Denver, according to the Denver Police Department.
The accident happened just east of Federal Boulevard, near Barnum Mountain Bike Park and the city’s Sun Valley area. By 10:47 a.m., officers were on the scene conducting an investigation.
While little information has been made available, officials said one motorist appeared to strike a guardrail. At least one person suffered serious injuries, but no other details regarding their condition were immediately disclosed.
Motorists were warned of delays in the area, as one lane was shut down.
