AURORA, CO – One driver, who was suspected of speeding, ran a red light, bringing about a crash with another vehicle that sent five people to the hospital Wednesday.
Aurora police said they responded to the collision site, the area of East 40th Avenue and Peña Boulevard, around 2 a.m.

Officers said three adults sustained minor wounds, while two were left in serious condition.
Authorities and crews shut down the area for the scene clearance process and for the investigation and reopened the interchange before 4:30 a.m., according to Denver 7 Traffic.
