DENVER, CO – Authorities are investigating a collision early New Year’s Day in southwest Denver that claimed the life of one driver and left another injured, reports Denver Gazette.
The fatal crash happened in the 1000 block of South Sheridan Boulevard in the Mar Lee area, prompting a response from Denver Police and first responders at about 3:00 a.m.
Little information has been made public at this time, but officials said the drivers of two vehicles were rushed to a local hospital, where one later succumbed to their injuries.
The DPD indicated that a section of the roadway was closed in both directions near West Mississippi Avenue, but it was not immediately clear when the scene was expected to clear.
No pending charges or citations have been confirmed.
