Abby Houk

Abby was born and raised in Vero Beach, Florida, and recently moved to Colorado with her partner, who is attending Law School at CU Boulder. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in December of 2023 with a BA in Political Science, a minor in Global Peace, and certificates in both Diplomacy and Intelligence & National Security. In a few years, she is eager to attend law school after gaining an understanding of the field and where she would like to fit into it.

Abby has always been driven to help people in any way she knows how, and learns quickly when she does not. Her initial career interests were in healthcare, having earned her Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy licenses as a dual-enrollment student in high school in anticipation of being a nurse. While working as a home health aide with the local hospice house, the world slipped into a global pandemic. She quickly realized that her skills could be utilized in a different profession, and switched her focus and degree path to law. While obtaining her degree, she worked as a server and bartender in Orlando at high-end restaurants, sharpening her hospitality skills and daily applying her love for people.

When she is not in the office, you can find her running around in the mountains with her partner, doing yoga, or at her local climbing gym! Staying active and moving her body is a large part of her free time. Music has always been an integral part of her personality, and she is always seeking out new artists and any chance to catch a live performance.
