AURORA, CO – A motorcyclist’s life was claimed after they collided with a vehicle at South Havana Street and East Iliff Avenue in the Village East district Sunday.
Aurora Police indicated this collision happened before 10 p.m. They confirmed the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, and no one else was harmed.
#APDTrafficAlert: Officers are on scene of a second fatal traffic crash at South Havana and East Iliff in west Aurora. The crash was reported just after 10 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with a car. The motorcycle rider died at the scene. No other injuries reported.
Police shut down the East Iliff to accommodate the investigation and scene clearance process. Drivers at the time were able to travel on the north, south, and westbound lanes. Jewell or East Yale Avenue were also deemed acceptable east or westbound routes.
No other information, including the motorcyclist’s name, gender, and identity, has been released.
