THORNTON, CO – Two people were sent to a local hospital after their vehicles collided in the area of East 160th Avenue and Washington Street Thursday.
Thornton Police first reported this collision before 12:30 p.m. They shut down the intersection to prioritize gathering evidence to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the crash and to clear the scene. As a result, they informed the public of any delays and advised them to take York Street, 168th Avenue, and 144th Avenue as alternative routes.

They reopened the junction before 1 p.m. At this time, they did not confirm if it was the drivers or passengers who were harmed. In addition, they have not provided an official update on what led to this collision and the current conditions of the injured parties.
