BRIGHTON, CO – A 65-year-old man lost his life when he was run over by a dump truck in the area of East 114th Avenue after 9:30 a.m. Friday.
According to 9 News, this collision happened near a construction site. The 65-year-old man, a construction worker, was working on a project when the motorist — a 46-year-old man — put the truck in reverse and struck him.
The truck driver was unscathed and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. However, he was arrested for reckless driving that resulted in a fatality.
Brighton Police have not yet revealed the name of the deceased man. They are investigating this fatal wreck and have not issued any updates at this time.
