DENVER, CO – A woman has been charged in connection to a crash that left two people dead and three others injured earlier this month.
According to 9 News, the crash took place on October 6th at about 10:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-25 near 144th Avenue.
Two victims killed in the crash have since been identified as Yajing Liu, 35, and Shuangyue Chen, 64. Police say one of the victims was standing outside of their vehicle when they were hit.
Paramedics transported three additional victims, a juvenile and two adults, to a local hospital in serious condition. No updates on their conditions are available at this time.
The at-fault driver, whose identity is being withheld at this time, has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide with DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide – reckless, one count of vehicular assault with DUI, one count of vehicular assault – reckless, and DUI.
