DENVER, CO – A man is facing a number of charges after fleeing the scene of a crash in Boulder that left two teen pedestrians seriously injured early Saturday.
According to Denver 7, the driver of a gray 2014 Ford Focus made a U-turn near the intersection of Broadway and Regent Drive, jumped the curb, and struck two pedestrians walking in the area.
Both victims, ages 18 and 19, were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. Their conditions have since been upgraded to stable.
The driver, who initially fled the scene, was identified as 24-year-old Jordan Michael Hemstreet. He was located a short time after the crash, arrested and charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, vehicular assault (reckless), driving a vehicle on a suspended license and no proof of insurance, police said.
