DENVER, CO – A Wednesday morning collision on I-270 East in Commerce City led to an abundance of traffic delays that could be seen toward I-25.
Jayson Luber from Denver 7 Traffic reported this crash at 5:56 a.m. and said it occurred in the left lane before Vasquez Boulevard. Due to the severity of this collision, crews had to shut down this lane so they could remove the affected vehicle. CDOT personnel asked commuters to use I-25 South and then take I-70 East as an alternative route during the closures.

First responders who were dispatched to the scene have not yet shared the exact cause of this crash, confirmed the number and kind of people and vehicles involved, or said if anyone was cited or charged for their involvement in the wreck.
