AURORA, CO – Occupants involved in a Wednesday afternoon collision between a car and a semi-truck on I-225 North along East Iliff Avenue managed to escape injuries.
Aurora Police announced this crash at 3:15 p.m., stating that a Hazmat cleanup crew was also summoned to the scene. By 4:26 p.m., crews were in the process of reopening two out of three lanes to better accommodate the flow of traffic.
UPDATE: This was a two-vehicle crash involving a car and a semi. No injuries reported. Crews are working to reopen two of three lanes of I-225. The NB onramp from Iliff and the #3 lane (right lane) will remain closed. We will update when the highway reopens to normal traffic.
The third lane was still shut down until all lanes reopened at 6:20 p.m.
First responders have not commented on the specifics of this wreck nor stated any citations or pending charges.
