AURORA, CO – A bicyclist had to go to the hospital for treatment of serious wounds after they were struck by a train in the Peterson area last Thursday.
Aurora police arrived at the scene, in the area of Sable Boulevard and Smith Road, before 9:15 p.m. Officers shut down the area and lifted all closures before 10:30 p.m.

Initial details are that the bicyclist rode around the railroad crossing arms, that were down, and was struck by a passing train.
