AURORA, CO – A man operating a motorcycle lost his life after he was hit by the driver of a blue sedan turning left from northbound Peoria Street to westbound East 23rd Avenue Sunday.
This collision happened before 3:30 p.m., Aurora Police said. Upon arriving, an ambulance took the motorcycle rider to a hospital, where he later died.

Officers are working to pinpoint the events leading to this crash. They have not released many details, but they suspect the motorcyclist was speeding at the time of the collision.
The Adam’s County Coroner’s office will identify the motorcyclist.
Police closed northbound Peoria Street along East 25th Avenue for many hours and later reopened the area.
The sedan driver remained at the scene and officers have not released other details, including whether the driver was hurt, at this time.
