JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO – Two people suffered injuries as a result of a collision and subsequent car fire late Tuesday morning in Evergreen, reports KKTV.
The fiery wreck occurred at the intersection of Bergen Parkway and Evergreen Parkway, shortly before 12:00 p.m.
Evergreen Fire/Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene to find a passenger vehicle engulfed in flames, but were able to extinguish the flames within minutes upon arrival.
Two patients were seen placed into ambulances for transport to an area hospital. No specific information about the severity of their conditions has been disclosed, but officials said they are expected to survive.
Photos at the scene show the vehicle’s front-end fire-damaged and smashed up against a traffic pole.
